you are here with me

golden rays that touch the morn
watching ships on blue seaborne
through the music of misty foghorn
you are here with me

scents of perfume breezes bring
bells that ring in gold casing
trees that whisper in clearing
say you’re here with me

stormy days that hug you close
deserted mountains with echoes
rapturous smile from bright rainbows
brings you close to me

touch intense by fingers true
gaze adoring through eyes so blue
words that never say adieu
i know you’re here with me

poem has the quality of a precious

  3. Nice, Shadow. I believe that when I'm missing someone, they are with me in all the elements around. A reminder to me that they are with me in my heart.

  5. Wow. Is it still Valentine's Day on your side of the world? You could sell that one to Hallmark.

And I mean that in a good way, okay? It's beautiful.

  9. Made me think of God, like praying that He is with me. Or thanking Him for all the beauty He provides. Or letting Him know that I apprciate with gratitude, all the gifts of nature, color, sond, touch, taste, smell.

  15. i know this feeling all too well.

your gift with words is excellent.

i wonder if it simply flows out of you once you put the pen in hand? my favorites always seem to pour out as seamlessly as the ink.
