the wishes of the gods

In the dark hours of the night
you will find a silver ray,
reaching out to hold you tight
as it’s trying to convey,
through the whispers of the waves
and the breeze between the trees,
words that echo from the graves
with the wisdoms that you frees.

Lie back gently in the arms
of the gods, in mosses green,
as they shield from that which harms,
lead you to the paths pristine,
in a cloud of misty wishes
which absorbs into your skin,
as they take the heavy crosses,
with the dawn comes the begin.

  29. We owe it to someone else's achievements in health and thus feel joy, depending on the success of others as if their achievements, and this is the Buddha mind. Always hold the interests of all sentient beings of the heart, we can not leave the joy forever.

  30. Oh beautiful Shadow. I think I've said this before and I'll say it again that your poems always have such a masterful rhythm to them, this poem flows so well. Always a pleasure reading what I see when I get a chance to come visit. P :-)

  31. Love this poem!

Thank you for visiting the other day...I was really impressed with your talent the first time I visited, but its been to long since I've been back...

I'm learning how to become a better writer so it is hard for me to articulate how much I appreciate your words.

I was wondering if you have in poems about being haunted, either spiritually or mentally...ghostly encounters...questioning insanity? If so I'd love to link to it if I have you permission.

  32. 'with the wisdoms that you frees'
The only line in the whole that brings me puzzlement, but you know me and my ears! Ha!
I am liking the message behind your words written and the feeling they provoke within me.

  33. Shadow,
Ah, to find our own wisdoms..that is a difficult task sometimes. To me, this poem speaks with an ancient voice, old truths left forgotten yet to be discovered once again by us- if we allow ourselves too. I agree with Brosreview and Rick as well, there is hope and enchantment here as well.
