Red Moon Rising

Feel the deep hush as the breeze breathes its final breath into the darkening sky, and hear the sweet notes as songbirds sing their lullabies to slowly awakening stars. Then sink in the velvet of the red moon rising, touching the world with a glow, that turns the days dust to a magical sprinkle that leads you to dreamlands on distant, mysterious shores.

  2. I missed you. How are you?
I have to say that i never read poetry in the original language(even if i could, that is) because i thought i could not feel its magical qualities as i do in greek. I stand corrected. I ALWAYS feel the "magic" with your words!

  4. Dear, dear Shadow...it is WONDERFUL to greet you here again on your own blog.

This is a spectacular 'Changing-of-the-Guard' scene, as day evolves into night. It reminds me that eons ago (or was it a split second ago?) when "...He separated day from night"

--your luxurious and vivid description says to me 'you must have had a fantastic day!'

And I hope you have many, many of those, sweet girl.

Again, I am thrilled to see you writing here, and look forward to more--it does not have to be a daily occurrence. "Easy does it" is not a bad way to take the day.
    Hugs,
    Steve

  13. Well hello and welcome back! I liked your words but most of all I liked the symbolism of the red moon reflected in the parasol. Wonderful. Come read my Halloween story? I'm on Chap. 3 already.

  22. "red moon rising"

How these words resonate with me ! I've only seen this phenomena twice, but each time at an extremely important point in my life, as though the universe was trying to tell me something... But, did I listen? :)
