Burnt I Stand

Fuck these voices in my head,
fuck their accusations and their guilt,
I don’t want to hear it anymore!
you don’t belong in my head!

I have crucified myself in silence
for 20 years,
and when hell chose to open
this particular door,
you nailed me to the wall
in spectacular fashion,
I flew too close and I got burnt,
I am in no way absolved from all of this,
but you cannot break a broken soul,
and now it’s time for you to get out!
Your words can’t hurt me anymore,
the knife at my throat is blunt,
punish my body until it bleeds
but my soul I am taking back.

  2. This is a powerful declaration to stand apart from the problem and move away from it. I want to shout, good for you, to the narrator. This is what freedom sounds like.

  5. The one thing about flying close is you see before your eyes are burnt. There is a key to mending the broken, feel a wall and stand behind it until you can see again in a different way. My soul *meh* I will be senile or dead one day then them who have taken it may choke upon it. I have outgrown it and only use it to keep the electrical impulses flowing in the mortal brain. It is your spirit Shadow, that is not broken.
