The Stab of Sunlight at Dawn

Time has stolen the polished façade,
perceptions imperceptibly changed
before our lying eyes,
to face a cold harsh reality
with the stab of sunlight at dawn.

  5. Gulp. This is a weird synchro, shadow. Your piece is gorgeous, as always. The synchro is that I am just writing a similar scene in a novel.

  8. Sometimes that morning sun is so full of hope and sometimes it is that harsh unforgiving light. That's what I felt today. You capture the feeling well

  9. That photo is gorgeous ... the way the light is playing with her hair, the curve of her arm, her brain, the small of her back, her belly button. Its fingers are all over the place, all at the same time, somehow.

  10. I will watch the dawn rise but never the moments when the first light travels over the horizon. I do not want to ruin the delusion of peace.

  11. Reality is always bitter and that is why we choose to dwell in fantasies.
