dance with the angels

playful the creatures that dance through the night
carried by angels whose calls them invite
through starry gates at the heart of the moon
freely renouncing the earthly paths strewn
with obstacles blinding the visions that flow
richly through silver rays while they echo
in the free spirits that relish the truth
lost… in those moments past youth

That first line has a riveting rhythm, Shadow. It leads us into the poem like a galloping horse.

That is one mighty fine beat you're drumming Shadow!

Makes it easy for people who would otherwise lag

to keep the pace

When I read your words--in my usual tranced state--I'm transported to places I've never been, but hope to one day experience. Exciting!

You've created a conundrum, a playful transformation that both renounces earthly paths and relishes what is lost. Uh!

Shadow, I have been meaning to mention the change I have noted in your mood since I started reading your work. Love it! Missing a lot of the darkness of the first stuff I read, which I appreciated, but I am amazed at the transformation in your style. Hope it means life is as beautiful for you as you're writing.

"playful" was what I loved about this... If only we could recapture those playful moments, and keep them alive forever...

Which came first, the image or the verse? Both are up there with your very best - may even be your best.

"...in those moments past youth."

I believe this last little line says so much than the sum of it's parts.
