restless the spirit
that drives and drives
grabbing a-hold
of a string left behind
twisting and turning
at the will of another
taking you with
away, further and further
blue, grey, black
with sparks on the ground
driven forward
by urges that hound
shaking you ruthlessly
and without mercy
freeing the blinkers
ever so briefly
restless the spirit
caught up in the soul
desperate for freedom
it issues a growl
for you to release
the bonds that hold
find them and free them
move out from the cold
that drives and drives
grabbing a-hold
of a string left behind
twisting and turning
at the will of another
taking you with
away, further and further
blue, grey, black
with sparks on the ground
driven forward
by urges that hound
shaking you ruthlessly
and without mercy
freeing the blinkers
ever so briefly
restless the spirit
caught up in the soul
desperate for freedom
it issues a growl
for you to release
the bonds that hold
find them and free them
move out from the cold
