Catch me in your arms,
I am ready to fall,
to trust in your words,
to heed to your call.
I have reached the end here,
the end of this road,
catch me as I fall,
your voice now, an echo...

Just let go the ledge, that spirit will catch you. You'll never hit the ground kiddo.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with walking man. Beautiful tender words, fall into faith with grace my friend.
ReplyDeleteThe fall we all want to make.
ReplyDeleteWe all need to trust someone. How do we make it, otherwise?
ReplyDeleteNevine
to trust enough to heed the call and then to fall - to trust enough - so rare to find the way to that trust - beautiful, lady!
ReplyDeleteinteresting wv here - unity!
Oh man, what a picture!
ReplyDeleteI love this short piece. Leaping or falling into unkown spaces seems to be a prerequisite for the most important new things to start in our lives.
You will let go when you hear that whisper in your heart.
ReplyDeleteThen you will be off into another wonderful journey of contentment.
just let go...all will be well...
ReplyDeleteA lovely piece, Shadow, describing that moment when, hopefully, everything changes.
ReplyDeleteClose your eyes and fall free. You won't crash. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd awesome pic.
Cheers,
Blasphemous Aesthete
Learning to catch ourselves is the trick. Beautiful as always.
ReplyDeleteFaith is always the key when taking that leap.
ReplyDeleteThat free fall is great...
ReplyDeleteBut I agree with several comments you need the one you can trust to catch you
What a gorgeous piece!
ReplyDeletefirst of all : i really liked the new header .... i don't know how new it is ... maybe i am late :O
ReplyDeleteoh, i crash you in my arms , don't worry .... i'll take you with me !
didn't you write this thinking about me ? well... i'll do it anyway.
There's something profoundly moving about finality.
ReplyDeleteone of the lessons i had 2 learn the hard way. dnt fall unless ur sure someone'll catch u....this is beautiful
ReplyDeleteWith the picture you used for your work today, I'm not sure to say your writing is 'deep' or if it's fully trusting. I think it could go either way. Which intrigues me.
ReplyDeleteAs you take the road to the end...and fall into the deep, you do hear echoes...but would it be trusting?
Golly, you really got me thinking on this one Shadow.
I look at this as the Lord catching me. Thank you Shadow. Blessings.
ReplyDeletethat's a beautiful poem, thank you

Surrender, by any other name. Beautiful.
ReplyDeletethis conflicts in my mind, I mean I want to catch you, but i dont want to be a echo... I want you to be real and when i reach for you, to fall into my arms...
ReplyDeleteShadow Dancing...
ReplyDeleteI Loved your 'Echo'..Echo...echo...
Dear Shadow:
ReplyDeleteMost likely you do not agree with me, but I think so. As poetic style, this poem is most pure, perfect, balanced I've read about you. This does not mean I do not appreciate everything else, but the short phrase is one of the styles I appreciate most in a poem.
With all my heart:
Debrah
I think of poets are fallen/falling souls...and much loved by many..else poetry wouldn't last this long or touch many hearts...
ReplyDeleteI too look forward to your poetry and would definitely want you to be here, Shadow :)
wishes,
devika
Shadow, when I read that last word, "echo," I swear my ears ran and I hard a voice call. Great post. Short, sweet, and to the point. Write on and thanks for the comments on my blog, it's really appreciated!
ReplyDeleteLoved it!
ReplyDeleteIt's short yet it carries so many emotions!
Amazing work. The picture is great too!
Love your blog!
It takes a long long time to trust doesn't it? An echo can be a good thing because you can hear "I love you" over and over.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was Photoshop. Takes nothing away from it, though. Great image. Great verse.
ReplyDeleteI need to try to remember to let go
ReplyDeleteAbsulute and absolutely delicious, SHADOW!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your always beautiful masterpieces
When all is said and done and the last fall comes....trust in God....He will catch you.
ReplyDeleteI like how this one shows faith...
ReplyDeletei wish i could trust again .. but am not able to. sad isnt it ?
ReplyDeletesome things you just can't fight without detriment to self. Great image for this piece. :))
ReplyDeletethe itching is coming to an end, yay!
sometimes...you just have to
ReplyDeletetrust
beautiful words
thank you
Oh, the letting go...if only...
ReplyDeletebeautiful write, Shadow, girl!
It takes a lot of trust, faith and hope to fall and know that you'll be caught. I believe that you will be though, Shadow. Release and let go.
ReplyDeleteI always think of that little mythological nymph named Echo, who was cursed to only her her own voice when it was repeating the last word of someone else.
ReplyDeleteThe reverberation of that empty space, that you spell out so well.
Cheers!
soft pillows are what i'd aim for...
ReplyDeleteForget echos, start making a melody of your own, and others may join in!
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to trust another enough to fall and let them catch us..but a wondeful experience when it works..this poem said it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful call.
ReplyDeleteLove it that so many blogs now feature the GCP dot!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how well an echo can catch you... is it too late?
ReplyDeleteThank you dear one for your prayers.
ReplyDeleteThat last line got me.
ReplyDeleteSo hard to trust people sometimes..yet so easy others.
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
let go and let God is what I hear in this!
ReplyDeleteHello dear Shadow!

Such beautiful words, and oh what a photograph to go with them. If perfection exists in a blog post, then this is that post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a simple yet beautiful poem!
