Today I’ll draw a picture

of a world as I believe

true in touch as in my mind

filled with joy, yes, there is peace

here I do not feed the rich man

I don’t take his tainted hand

here I shun his poisoned presence

I take back my this here land

come across this moonlit eve

leave behind the webs being weaved

take the gift you have received

live in truth, so may it be.

Flights of Fancy

Without fear she walks through darkness

shadows dissolve when enveloped by her spirit

the command of a presence

bearing battle marks and scars

for the survival of her soul

*identify*disable*overrule*

for love and many passions, injustice

for those who can’t speak

her light turning fearful creatures

into mischievous beings at play

imaging her intensity

should she walk from the dark into your life……

     Clouds are building, turn black with promise, teasing the ground yearning for rain, I dream......you sing through the wind, the rumble in your throat a caress to my skin, taunt and provoke ‘til I fall into your thrall, compelled to release every influence but your presence, take control of me, own me, expose me to your might, fill what I crave, you are what I need……
     ……skin drenched by rain, not a part of me left untouched, revelations in a dream transported into my conscious now, side by side, I stretch my limbs in the languid silence of the sated.

It's Twilight

the grinning moon is resting
its light trailing through a meadow
lacing through the weaving wings of grace
sinking slowly, peacefully
stretching thin its lithe limbs
until the last peaks of his grin
become a shooting star you thought you saw
at the edge of your consciousness,
was it real or was it a dream.

Isolation

Why won’t they go away
the images
replaying one episode
again and again
a loop
burning
every detail into my being
filling my memory bank
leaving no place for hope or light.

  Why won’t they fade away
the voices
repeating that sentence
over and over
unending
ensuring
every words cuts through me
splinters and divides
the last ounce of strength I have left to fight.

  I’m rendered speechless
no sound passes these lips
jaw firmly clenched
the words stay trapped in my head
and I’m frozen in this space
forced to feel every detail and vibration
as clearly as the day it happened.

     It’s all in the mind......... these words, one leading into the other,
creating, associating, digressing, disassociating,
combines into a vivid, disjointed confusion,
compelling as the spinning lights of a fairground ride out of control,
hypnotically streaming, feeding, goading,
provokes thought into deed in a single motion,
expelling disquiet and misunderstanding to all within reach,
relayed without intention, this is the shifting focus I can’t contain………
and it’s all in the mind, you say?
