55 - i wave you goodbye

every friday, compose a short story of 55 words - no more, no less. if you want to join in the fun and games and give it a try...post your story and report to the boss G-Man!

with a tear in my eye
in my soul a sigh
i hold you close
shutting out my sorrows
as i watch you go
with your bags in tow
for some time away
while i will stay
counting the hours
‘til the time’s again ours

…with a tear in my eye
i wave you goodbye

  6. My blog isn't private. I've been doing Fiction in 58, my own creation, long before Fiction in 55. I like to write short and tense.

which lasts 'til we meet on the morrow.

With apologies to whoever it was that said "Parting is such sweet sorrow." Willy, I think.
