Absolution

A silent death awaits those
who prey on the weakness of others
for absolution of their sins,
those willingly accepted as their own to bear
in moments of their own flawed redemption.

  1. personally i hope they are screaming the whole way...but the silence will come cause no one will care to be there in the end for those that destroy the lives of others...

  2. HA! For a cat, dinner awaits him, who preys on the weakness of others.

So is THAT which separates us from the rest of animal kingdom? Oh! to be a tweety-bird or a young and powerful race horse...they don't, cannot, sin!

For us, there is NO excuse, NONE--which can exonerate our evils, redeem us, except the One Who created us. My Op.

Well written in four short ones, Shadow. WOW! Great to "see" you here again!

  4. The flawed redemption is in carrying the baggage of them who prey on the weak, the redemption for the predator is in finding all the baggage they have ever packed and carry it like Sisyphus.
