I need to return into my soul,to my inner darkness under the spell of the full moon. Here I dwell in the echoes of our yesterdaysin the silence of a hollow, empty heart, and sink into the bottomless well where I lost my sanitythe day that I thought I lost you...
It can feel that way, thinking you've lost someone important. Panic!
ReplyDeleteI guess the echoes of yesterday are always with us beneath the surface.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And that haunting image fits perfectly!

ReplyDeleteIntense and very poignant. This short piece of prose says it all!!! I love it.
ReplyDeleteThe title...and part of the line...just hits home to us all at one time or another in our lives. At least I think so..."echoes of our yesterdays".
And ps...the critter that is on my blog post is an opossum... or 'possum for short.
There is much to be said for losing ones self in the places where thinking is not so rigid.
ReplyDeleteMy gosh this is absolutely mesmerizing...
