follow the echo
of opening gates
to the rising sun at midnight
where spirits touch
believing souls
with powers of nephrite*
whispers become
the guiding light
of feelings truthful descent
goodness can’t live
within shadows
it gleams with pure intent

Totally awesome!..to believe...and the light will guide the way.
ReplyDeleteI had to search Nephrite only o find it's common name...Jade, In light of your description of it's mystical properties i wonder why a cynic is termed as "jaded"
ReplyDeleteOnce again Shadow we touch thematically in passing the nights and days away. Good concise writing.
"goodness.....gleams with pure intent"
ReplyDeleteShadow, your words are pure good.
(Thanks for "nephrite" explain.)
Fantastic! I love the darkness in the style! And, the bright message doesn't go unnoticed! You remind me of some of my black writes! Keep writing!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat, made even greater by the last line methinks.
ReplyDeleteI need to get me some Nephrite....
ReplyDeleteok so where does one even find this nephrite tally? lol I could use one!
ReplyDeleteGosh, there were so many things going through my mind on this short write, your spirit touched my soul :}
ReplyDelete"goodness can't live
ReplyDeletewithin shadows"
But it certainly can within Shadow.
I believe objects in the physical world have properties. We have this in common!
ReplyDeleteGoodness can't live withing shadows. I love that.
ReplyDelete"Whispers become the guiding light" -- i love this line
ReplyDeletegreat post :-)
'where spirits touch believing souls'...My favorite line.
ReplyDeleteThe spirits whisper to me some days. This is a light bright poem. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBut....but!! Wait a gosh darned minute. YOU'RE GOODNESS!! And we live for shadows within the blogging community. Without our shadow [you] we would not have the gleam of your pure intent. Your words!!!
ReplyDeleteGod whispers beyond my ears into the center of my heart.
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me how personal each individual's response is to a poem. That was mine.
Thanks, Shadow,
Prayer Girl
That's a beautiful vision.
ReplyDeletethis is a great poem, i am with g-man and i will go fetch me some nephrite
ReplyDeletei'd like a touch please ma'am.
ReplyDeleteShadow-I would so like goodness to at least brush the shadow and give it some light. Can it be a shadow without some light? A delicious journey. You finally skipped one of mine, first time ever. Hope I haven't offended. If so-sorry. ~rick
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly a shining Shadow. I loved the "guiding light" of whispers. It's another world!!! Strong and enchanting poem.
ReplyDeletewhat they all said.....
ReplyDeleteJade ...teaches us "to be master of one's own creations" = Health & Abundance. It activates the heart chakra.
ReplyDeleteThe affirmation that follows green Jade:
"I love life, and it flows through me in ever-greater abundance".
per The Book of Stones, who are they & what they teach us by Robert Simmons & Naisha Ahsian
I love the nephrite symbolism in your poem. I'm going over to the check out the stone link. I sent you an email reply about the weird connection but then I found your blog address. So now I can become a follower. <3
ReplyDeletelovely imagery, thank you...
ReplyDeleteTalismans are powerful company. I keep some in my pocket every day, the same two. Pure intent. As are your words here.
ReplyDeleteIt's jade, a magical stone indeed, collected and cherished by many.
ReplyDeletegreat 55...love the background on it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem about ancient character.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that it is interesting what you said about that it can't live in the shadows. Cause there ore other very interesting mythological beings that do not have that thing called shadow. But there can be a being who can't live in the shadows and does not have a shadow without contradiction, surely on the bright and good side of beings.
Enchanting poem, Shadow. Love a talisman and keep several...
ReplyDeleteyour words are a Talisman!
