Where does it come from, this need
to shatter in the most beautiful way possible,
to flow in the river of anticipation where expectations
never cease to surprise with deep fulfilment,
so maybe that is why I choose to chase the howling wolf
under full moon into the shadows to succumb
to whatever he elects to place in my hand.
I love these lines:

"to succumb

This lifted up my psyche in the most physical of ways. Your gift is amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteThere is the allure of the mysterious and dangerous at the same ~ The animal is never far away from underneath ~
ReplyDeleteBecause maybe in that beautiful shattering
ReplyDeletewe can leave something people will surely remember.
Or maybe it is to feel like we truly lived
even in that last breath.
It's a primal desire to know the unknown.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words!

ReplyDeleteDo you wear your red riding hood?
ReplyDeleteEvery piece you post becomes my new personal favorite. I love the image of you chasing the howling wolf! The juxtaposition of instinct versus civilization, with raw emotion as the undercurrent, is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteWe were made that way. We want to know everything, explain it and then think we control it. ;)
ReplyDeleteShadow you would never take anything anyone handed you just for the sake of taking it--you take from the wolf because you trust it.
