a beyond never-ending

take my hand, fly with me
jump into the abyss
and soar on the currents of the wind
over rooftops
down to the trees
touching the water's crests
leaving a trail of blazing light
and lungs breathless
before rising high
high into blue skies
towards the sun
towards the stars
towards the welcome blackness
of a beyond
never-ending

Shadow, I am always most seduced by your shadowy words...

If my imagination does not go somewhere it's never been, what else is there for it to do?

If it goes somewhere none have ever been, it can lead us all to that unsurpassed happiness, our goal, perfect peace, perfect love.

You, Shadow are one of those imaginative "leaders" IMO.

Oh somedays I would definately take your hand a fly away but today isn't one of those. Love the fantasy escapism.

Your poem has a bit of the same feel to it as my last one did, although you clearly are more eloquent and mine was not a poem, but an emotional response to my week and a call for others to do some good. Asking people to fly, as your poem seems to be doing, is often the easy part. The hard part seems to be in getting them to really do it.

Beautiful post Shadow. Thank you.

Marvelous poem, more than a poem to me is the lyric of a song, a song sang by a guy in the 40, with a velvet kind of tone caming out of his mouth. The only part that was out of that time is when it says
Of the beyond never ending. Which is a fantastic philosophical/contemporary phrase

Sounds like a great ride Shadow. I've jumped into the abyss on a submersible before and it was really interesting.

Sighing in blissful surrender. With Raven on the top of my totem, flight and wings is a delightful dream of unmeasurable porportions. (Hugs)Indigo
