It's Twilight

the grinning moon is resting
its light trailing through a meadow
lacing through the weaving wings of grace
sinking slowly, peacefully
stretching thin its lithe limbs
until the last peaks of his grin
become a shooting star you thought you saw
at the edge of your consciousness,
was it real or was it a dream.

Aside from the slideshow on the Home page and the All category, you can see your header under Literary, Photography and South Africa. SiteHoundSniffs.com

  5. I always look for shooting stars and I always make the same wish ... year after year after year ... the moon ... ya ... look at him, when he is full ... I see a very worried face in him, so does my son ... the rest of ma family does not see it though ... go figure, eh?, friend shadow ...Love, cat.

  6. It is no dream but I find it hard to tilt my head far enough to turn the night's light to a grin.
