Who do you think laughed, God or the Devil,
when they heard this urgent whisper:
“Please let me feel this, please let me do this,
I need to know what feelings it brings,
and though I know it’s wrong, I’ll repent the moment after,
but please let me feel this feeling again.”
when all feeling is lost...we will go to great lengths to either feel again,
ReplyDeleteor numb what is left...i imagine they have heard it enough that it
has lost its humor...
Quite a powerful write...wow. I find myself now wondering that this feeling was that he was longing for...
ReplyDeleteNo one laughed, they both sighed.....
ReplyDelete(As we ALL do whenever reading anything from Shadow Dancing)
The answer must be:
ReplyDeleteThe devil but I'll go to confession tomorrow,
until the next time
feelings..........................can be painful, can be of happiness, but wonder what it is like to feel nothing!
ReplyDelete. . . . . oh! and were you thinking of me?
ReplyDeleteIf you were I won't bother going to confession at all!!! ROFL
Laughter? I didn't hear any....
ReplyDeleteBut, I loved it....no matter what your subject is, it never ceases to get me drawn in.
Whew.
ReplyDeleteShadow.
ReplyDeleteAs exceptional as ever.
Captivated.
We have to feel what we want to feel, otherwise we can't move on or learn.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, I've been there, too! In fact, I still am to a much greater extent than I believe I should be.
ReplyDeleteChasing the feelings that elude can be a dangerous thing. Been there. Wanted more.
