When you find yourself in the midst
of one of life’s freefalls
and every instinct demands
that you curl up in a ball,
...that! that is when you have to believe,
open up your arms, arch your back,
let your eyes see,
and when the carousel has stopped,
in the silence you align,
‘s the key for your just reprieve.
I hear it Shadow....soft and whispered yet loud and clear....hope it resonates through these beautiful words.
ReplyDeleteVery thought provoking
ReplyDeleteJust wondering exactly what is meant by "and when the carousel has stopped",
But maybe I do . . . .
When you are able to distance yourself emotionally...
ReplyDeleteExcellent and beautiful photography and very 'spot on' poem' ~ thanks, xoxo

Absolutely right (if I've interpreted it correctly!)
ReplyDeleteyes, it is when you feel the need to retreat that often you need to find that strength of faith, or whatever you call it to face down...chances are you are on the cusp on something great...smiles.
ReplyDeleteThat's life!
ReplyDeletePositive thinking! Cures all sorts of conditions. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteLike the lion in the Wizard of Oz ... you need courage. You face it, you win.
ReplyDelete...absolutely...open your eyes...live!!
ReplyDeleteExceptionally beautiful and so true, the real strength lies in opening the doors by yourself.

I think the most pivotal decisions in all of life are made when faced with that decision to either curl up in a ball or rise up, chin held high, and face it head on...
ReplyDeletePitch perfect!
