In the empty hours of a cloudy, weekend morning,
when the bitter freshness of a reluctant winter
bites at bare skin, and bones slowly absorb
the cold through a black leather shield,
barely restrained vibrations tremble through the body,
you hold your breath with the lean into the curve,
and emerge with a rush as the throttle opens up
through the bend into a swiftly approaching horizon
along a dotted line of white that merges as one…
along a dotted line of white that merges as one…
Great feeling especially if it is a Harley . . . . :)
ReplyDeleteSound rather fun, cathartic, and free-ing :)

Shadow...you KNOW I am there. Daily. Nothing so much as personifies truth as negotiating that "perfect" curve. Which only few can really know!
ReplyDeleteMay angels ride with each two-wheeling Peep whereEVER they are zoooming today! (and tomorrow)
Two Wheelin...My second favorite pastime.

I like fast cars, too, like Mike. But you describe this so well that now I'll have to reconsider!
ReplyDeleteExcellent...what a ride!!!
ReplyDeleteIn life OR on the road. Either way.
My husband had a motorcycle many years ago and I enjoyed taking rides with him ... I hung on very tightly ...
